Skirts for Mongolia

Lily decided recently that she wants to help the orphans in Mongolia by making skirts.  She got a sewing machine for Christmas (although I think I'm going to return it for the second time) and I ordered a fabric lot on ebay which came yesterday.

I hadn't told her about the lot of fabric I bought.  So here are the pictures of her discovering the selection of fabrics in the box.

I helped with the ironing and putting the lace on, but Lily did the cutting and sewing by herself.  Oh and I helped by giving her the instructions.  I figure after a few skirts, she'll know how to do it with out me (well, I'm still not sure I would let her iron).
