Lily's in her second year of Sparks at AWANA and is having a blast. We've been going to my parent's church about 25 minutes north since our church is no longer doing AWANA. It's been really nice because there are lots of homeschooling families that I'm looking forward to getting to know. Plus I love how great the leaders are and how excited and respectful the kids are! It's just a really cool environment. Anyway, here are some pictures of Lily before we left for CRAZY HAIR NIGHT. This was how she wanted her hair - CURLY with the pink and purple rods that burn my fingers. HAHAHA! (You may notice that for the past few months, Lily's had bangs... well, Lily cut her hair. Not once, but TWICE. I know everyone does it in their lives. I don't think she'll be doing it again. It was after she got her glasses so I'm not sure if she was wanting to change how she looked because she was self-conscious... or more likely if she was inspired by Gigi-God's Little Princess and Junie B. Jones, both characters she had read about who cut their hair. I think she wanted to try it out. Anyway, she really really cut it - right to her scalp - a few inches wide and about an inch going back. The second time, she tried to even it out and cut the whole front and around the sides of her face. AH! Anyway, we let it grow as much as possible before my cousin's wedding and then I trimmed the rest of the front to match. I don't think she'll keep the bangs though since she already pushes those tiny little "sprigs" as Junie B. calls them back with a headband.)
I love the crazy hair! It turned out pretty cute.
ReplyDelete(I kinda thought Lily had given her bangs a trim :) hehe - at least they grow back!)
Well at least Lilly didn't dye her hair green like Anne did in "Anne of Green Gables".
