Bosom Buddy 5k: Annalisa and Valerie's race for breast cancer awareness

Yes, this was just this last Saturday, April 13th.

Yes, it was snowing.

Yes, they still ran.

and Yes, the sun came out just towards the end of the race!

 (Sorry - I thought Annalisa was right next to Valerie because my glasses were too dark to see through the camera so I have no picture with Annalisa actually in it at the start of the race - BUMMER!)

Here comes Valerie - something about watching a runner finish the race... racing for my Mom and all the other women we've known to have battled breast cancer... I bawled!

Annalisa raced not only for Mom but also for Sammy.  She wrote a note saying that she would be listening to Kings and Queens!  She gave us a donation for his adoption fund saying it was the enterance fee for the Bring Sammy Home 5k (there isn't one - we decided it would be too hard to plan but she and I talked about it and this was her race for him)...  I saw her coming and started bawling.  So much going through my head.

We were going to go to Starbucks after, but it was crowded so we did a full-on breakfast at the local restaurant - so nice!
