I don't think our family has ever taken it for granted that we are able to be together so easily. But this Easter we were able to especially appreciate our time as in just a few short weeks, my little sister, brother-in-law, and sweet niece, are moving 1800 miles away!
The blessing is that we know we will spend eternity together. This life is a vapor and we can only find true joy in obedience to God. As my little sister was thinking about the move, she talked about God moving Abraham to a new land away from his family. What's been nice is that we can see Bible stories through new lenses lately (Abraham and the big move; Moses and adoption). Another blessing is the day and age we live in - facetime and skype! It's a lot easier to feel connected face-to-face that way!
Anyway, I'm not sure how many more pictures like this there will be over the years. As our family gets bigger and is spreading out... kids will be growing and off to college in no time (*GASP*) and new little ones will be joining the family, too.
God has richly blessed us!
